Maa Vaishno Devi Katra is the incarnation of superpowers.
In a cave in the hills of Trikuta in Katra city of Jammu, Mata Rani is in the form of 3 superpowers. These powers are goddess Kali, goddess Laxmi, and goddess Saraswati, whose combined form is called Vaishnavi. This divine is seated here in the form of Pindi. The length of this cave is 98 feet. These goddesses have been enshrined in the platform built in this cave. In Treta Yuga, 3 goddesses Laxmi, Kali, and Saraswati were born in the form of a girl whose name was Vaishnavi, she is also called Trikuta.
The place where Maa Vaishno Devi is situated is called Bhawan, where Mata Vaishnav killed Bhairav Nath. Mother had separated Bhairav Nath’s head from his body and his torso had fallen here and his head had fallen 3 km away. Where Bhairav Nath’s head fell, there is a temple of Bhairav Nath Ji today. It is believed that after the view of Mata Vaishnav Devi, it is necessary to visit Bhairav Nath.
Vaishnavi was a great devotee of Lord Rama and had considered Rama as her husband in her mind and wanted to marry him. When Vaishnavi expressed her desire to marry Shri Ram, Lord Rama told her that in this birth I have taken a wife’s fast, so I cannot marry anyone other than Sita. Shri Ram said that when I will take the Kalki incarnation in Kali Yuga, then I will marry you till then you will have to wait. Since then till today Mata Vaishnavi is waiting for the Kalki avatar of Shri Ram.
The mythology of Mata Vaishnav.
A long time ago there was an Aghori monk named Bairav Nath, when he saw Mata Vaishnavi, he was fascinated by her beauty and started chasing her. Mata Vaishnavi escaped from there and went to a cave. Bhairav Nath was following them. The mother had merged in the cave by changing into air form. When Bairav Nath also tried to enter the cave, a monk standing outside the cave said that Bhairav, whom you are thinking of as a simple girl, is himself an incarnation of Shakti. That’s why Mata should stop chasing Vaishnavi but Aghori did not listen to the monk.
When Bhairavnath forcibly tried to enter the cave, Mahabali Hanuman, who was guarding the outside of the cave, stopped him, then a great war broke out between Lord Hanuman and Bhairav Nath. The war between Lord Hanuman and Bhairav Nath went on for a long time, after that Mahavir Hanuman was about to kill Bhairav, at the same time Mata Vaishnavi had come there. He told Hanuman Ji that Mahabali Hanuman, his death will not be from your hands but by me.
After that Mata Vaishno asked Bhairav to go back again but Bhairav did not agree then Mata Vaishnava took the form of Shakti and killed him.
Vaishnav maa had cut off Bhairav’s head from his body. After cutting off the head, Bhairav Nath apologized to the Vaishnava maa. Then the compassionate mother forgave Bhairav and said that in the future when people worship me, then it will be necessary to worship you after me.
History of Maa Vaishnav Devi, Katra temple
This thing is very old, about 700 years ago, a Brahmin named Sridhar lived in Hansali village near Katra. Sridhar was very poor but he was a great devotee of Mata Vaishnav Devi. He was always absorbed in the devotion of Vaishnava’s mother, he did not have any sorrow about his being poor.
Once Shridhar was asked by the Mata to worship him in a dream and perform Bhandara in his name. Shridhar went to every house in the village and demanded the necessary ingredients for the Bhandara, some people helped Shridhar and gave them the necessary items for cooking and food. Sridhar had got the material, but it was not enough to get the Bhandara done, so Sridhar started getting very worried. And when the day of Bhandara came, Sridhar started thinking that how the whole village would be stocked with such little food and there was not much space in his house to accommodate the villagers.
The people of the village started coming to eat the Bhandara. Sridhar’s hut was small but by the grace of Mata Vaishnav, everyone was going to sit very easily in the hut and the place of the hut had increased on its own. Then suddenly a girl came among the people and started serving food to the villagers and people started eating food, slowly the whole village had eaten the food. Bhairav Nath also came in this Bhandara, Bhairav asked Mata Vaishnavi to serve meat. Mother said that this is a Bhandara of a Brahmin’s house, so the meat will not be given there. Bhairav extended his hand to catch the Vaishnava Devi, but the mother turned into the air and flew towards Trikuta mountain.
Vaishno Devi indicated to Sridhar to be on her Trikuta mountain. Since then till date, Sridhar’s family is worshiping in Mata Vaishnav temple.
