The mythology of Mata Vaishnav.
A long time ago there was an Aghori monk named Bairav Nath, when he saw Mata Vaishnavi, he was fascinated by her beauty and started chasing her. Mata Vaishnavi escaped from there and went to a cave. Bhairav Nath was following them. The mother had merged in the cave by changing into air form. When Bairav Nath also tried to enter the cave, a monk standing outside the cave said that Bhairav, whom you are thinking of as a simple girl, is himself an incarnation of Shakti. That’s why Mata should stop chasing Vaishnavi but Aghori did not listen to the monk.

Once Shridhar was asked by the Mata to worship him in a dream and perform Bhandara in his name. Shridhar went to every house in the village and demanded the necessary ingredients for the Bhandara, some people helped Shridhar and gave them the necessary items for cooking and food. Sridhar had got the material, but it was not enough to get the Bhandara done, so Sridhar started getting very worried. And when the day of Bhandara came, Sridhar started thinking that how the whole village would be stocked with such little food and there was not much space in his house to accommodate the villagers.

Then suddenly a girl came among the people and started serving food to the villagers and people started eating food, slowly the whole village had eaten the food. Bhairav Nath also came in this Bhandara, Bhairav asked Mata Vaishnavi to serve meat. Mother said that this is a Bhandara of a Brahmin’s house, so the meat will not be given there. Bhairav extended his hand to catch the Vaishnava Devi, but the mother turned into the air and flew towards Trikuta mountain.
Vaishno Devi indicated to Sridhar to be on her Trikuta mountain. Since then till date, Sridhar’s family is worshiping in Mata Vaishnav temple.
