Best time to visit in Sonamarg, Srinagar

The months of July and August receive huge pilgrims for the Amarnath Yatra. There is a camping ground for those traveling to Baltal, 15 km north of Sonmarg.

By Air: Srinagar International Airport is the nearest airport to Sonmarg. Sonmarg is 70km away from here. This airport is well connected to other important cities like Jammu, New Delhi, Mumbai, Leh, Amritsar, and Bangalore. From the airport, you can reach Sonmarg by taking a bus or taxi.
