Nishat Garden is one of the largest gardens located in Srinagar in the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir. Very rare species of flower plants and trees have been planted in this garden. It is the largest garden in the Kashmir Valley and is built in the Mughal style. It has beautiful Dal Lake on one side and huge mountain ranges on the other side. This park is 11K away from Srinagar. This is such a park that has a great view of Dal Lake. This is the first park in Kashmir Srinagar that is ladder-like. Very rare species of poplar and cypress trees are found in this garden. Apart from trees and flowers, there are many other attractions here.

History of Nishat Garden
Nishad Garden means Garden of Happiness and this is also true because seeing it makes the mind feel very happy. This garden was built in 1633 and it was built by Hasan Asaf Khan. Hasan Asaf Khan belonged to the Mughal dynasty. He was the father of Mumtaz Mahal and brother of Noor Jahan. Hasan Asaf Khan wanted to make a beautiful garden that looked beautiful like heaven, so he built Nishat Garden.

Shahjahan had an evil eye in this Nishat Garden
The Mughal emperor Shah Jahan was the emperor of India at that time and he was also the son-in-law of Hasan Asaf Khan. When he came to Srinagar and saw the Nishat Garden, seeing beauty of this garden, he was tempted to get it. He expressed his desire to take it as a gift from Hasan Asaf Khan but Hasan refused to give this garden to him. It is said that after this Shah Jahan stopped the water supply of this garden.
