Mythological Story: Jayant’s Test and Forgiveness
One of the most famous legends associated with Sphatik Shila involves Jayant, the son of Lord Indra. According to the story, one day, while Lord Ram and Sita Mata were resting on Sphatik Shila, Jayant took the form of a crow and pecked at Sita Mata’s feet. Witnessing this, Lord Ram aimed an arrow at Jayant to teach him a lesson. Jayant, in fear, sought refuge in all the worlds but found none. In the end, he returned to Sita Mata and begged for forgiveness. Seeing his repentance, Sita Mata forgave him.
