The name of the temple we are going to tell about is Maa Jalpa Devi Temple or Jalpa Madiya. This temple is located in Jalpa Ward of Katni City and is about 250 years old temple. There is a crowd of people in this temple throughout the year, but there is a huge crowd of devotees here in Navratra. There is also a statue of Mother Kali and Mother Sharda along with Mother Jalpa. Apart from this, there are also idols of Bhairav Baba, Lord Hanuman, Marhi Mata, and Chausath Yogini goddesses.

Interesting Story of Maa Jalpa Temple
Today, where we are seeing the huge temple of Jalpa Mata, 250 years ago, Earlier there used to be a huge forest there. Here bamboo trees were spread everywhere. It was called the bamboo forest. According to the people, Bihari Lal Panda, who was a resident of a small village in Rewa city, was told by Maa Jalpa about being in the forest in his dream and said that makes a temple and establish me here.
