Story of King Karan (Raja Karan)

It is said that when Mata Chandi is worshiped there, oil was heated on Vanha with a big pan. While boiling it, King Karna jumped on the oil pan and after opening the oil his whole body was badly burnt.

Mata Chandi was very happy with the devotion of the king and spread nectar on the king and made him healthy and gave two and a half mana of gold (approximately 100 kg) to the king. King Karan used to donate more than half of the gold he got from Mata to the poor.
