A Glimpse into History
The idea of this holy temple was envisioned in 1979 by the revered Digambar Jain Acharya 108 Shri Vidyanand Muni Maharaj during his pilgrimage to Shravanabelagola. He found the location ideal for creating a replica of the iconic Bahubali statue. By 1981, the dream was realized with the efforts of Jain community leaders Dulichand Sethi, Shantilal Patni, and Babulal Patodi.

The Story of Lord Bahubali
Lord Bahubali, son of the first Tirthankara Rishabhnath (Adinath) and Queen Sunanda, is a revered figure in Jainism. After a bitter battle with his brother Bharat for the kingdom, Bahubali chose the path of renunciation, turning away from worldly desires. He meditated in solitude for years, standing so still that vines grew over his body, and anthills rose around him. His unwavering meditation led him to spiritual enlightenment, symbolizing victory over ego and desires.
