Brief History of Akshardham Temple
Akshardham Temple to be built in New Delhi is a holy place of faith and devotion. This wonderful temple was built as a holy memory of Jyotirdhar Lord Swaminarayan. This temple was inaugurated on 6 November 2005 but it was opened for the general public on 8 November 2005. The temple is spread over 100 acres of land which is the largest temple complex in the world therefore it was entered in the Guinness World of Records on 26 December 2007. This temple is built on the banks of the holy river Yamuna and it was here that the 2010 Commonwealth Games were also played.

Akshardham Temple and its inside view
Akshardham Temple Delhi is a holy religious place. It is also called the abode of God. This temple displays the culture and mythological civilization and devotion of India. This temple captivates everyone with the devotion and love of God. The design of this temple was done according to Maharishi Vastu Architecture.
The main attraction inside the temple is the idol of Lord Swami Narayan, who is sitting in Abhaya Mudra. This statue is 11 feet high.
This temple has been constructed in pink-colored stones and white marble and sandstone have also been used in it. Iron, concrete, and steel have not been used at all in this temple. It will take 5 years to complete the construction of this temple. This temple was built under the leadership of Swami Maharaj, the head of Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha. The temple has many sculptures, pillars, and domes which make its entire complex very attractive.
The main attraction of Akshardham is the temple here. This temple is 141 feet high, spread over 316 feet, and is 356 feet long. Akshardham temple has 234 pillars decorated with beautiful ornaments, 9 huge domes. There are more than 20000 idols here which are monks, sannyasis, and masters of the Hindu religion.

Musical Fountain Show
The musical fountain show shown in the temple is one of the main attractions here and beautiful stories and drama are performed in this show. In this show, this show is shown by showing light and water in a very creative way. Many actors also participate in this show and stage plays. In this show, the cycle of life and death is shown through light and water. Many mythological stories are also shown in this fountain water show. This show is about 25 minutes long.

2.Neelkanth Darshan – Large Format Film
It is a film shown on a projector in which scenes from the life of a child yogi Maharaj Neelkanth are shown. Here various parts of the life of Neelkanth Ji are shown through the film so that people can know about him and understand his glory and wisdom.
3.Sanskruti Darshan – Cultural Boat Ride
The Culture Boat Show here is also very interesting and worth watching. This 12-minute boat ride will take you to ancient Vedic India, where you will be able to see the advanced knowledge. You will be able to see and know about the world’s oldest university Takshashila and also have a view of the Vedic buzzer.
