Katni City

Katni is the famous city of Madhya Pradesh. Katni City is also known as Murwara. The reason behind calling this City as Murwara is that, here the British Government used to cut the heads of thieves and robbers so that they do not commit crimes.

1.Suramya Park, Kataye Ghat :

Kataye Ghat is a popular place in Katni City and it is very near to Katni River, there is a very old temple here. This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha. According to information, this temple is about 300 years old. There is also a Panchmukhi temple of Lord Hanuman and many other idols are here.

The temple of Lord Dattatreya is also located here. This place is very attractive according to natural beauty, beautiful trees, plants, and birds look very beautiful and attractive.

Suramya Park is  Katni City’s very popular park, if you want to go here with family, then this is a very beautiful place for you. It has a small pond and some fountains in it.

There is a small railway track for children. Suramya Park is a nice family picnic spot located on Kataighat road. One can also do boating in the small lake inside the place. Here is also a swimming pool for adults and children

Jagriti Park

Jagriti Park is in Madhav Nagar of Katni City. This park has two parts one is a science park and the other is a children’s enjoyment park. 3. Roonath Dham

Roopnath Dham is a tourist place in Bahoriband town of Katni district. This town is very beautiful and it is also a part of the Archaeological site of Madhya Pradesh Tourism.

There is a 232 B.C. Ashokan verse painted on a big stone which is an order written in Pali language to follow Buddhism and there is a very old temple here and there is a very beautiful waterfall, under this waterfall, there are three Kund, Ram Kund, Sita Kund, and Laxman Kund.

4.Raja Karan ka kila ( Pushpawati Nagari )

King Karan Fort

King Karan or Pushpawati Nagari Fort is about 20 km away from Katni. This fort is the legacy of King Karna of Kalchuri Lineage. In ancient, It was the capital of the kingdom of King Karna. Here are many old temples, ponds, and statues here that are very valuable from an archaeological point of view.

There were many swimming pools, hanging houses for criminals, makeup houses for queens, and mills for grinding flour.
