The Mythological Story of the Temple’s Establishment

According to legend, Swami Hariram Vyas had a dream in which Lord Thakur Ji instructed him to take Him out of a well and establish Him in a temple. The idol was found on Magh Shukla Ekadashi in a place called Kishorvan in Vrindavan, after which the temple was built nearby by King Madhukar Shah of Orchha. As Mughal invasions intensified, the devotees brought the idol to Panna via Orchha. The local ruler then constructed the temple in 1756 AD, where the deity was installed.
