मध्यप्रदेश के मालवा क्षेत्र की पावन धरती पर स्थित बाबा बैजनाथ महादेव मंदिर श्रद्धालुओं के लिए गहन आस्था और भक्ति का केंद्र है। यह मंदिर बंगंगा नदी के किनारे स्थित है और अपनी रहस्यमयी कथाओं, प्राचीनता तथा शिवभक्ति के कारण विशेष प्रसिद्धि प्राप्त करता है। स्थानीय लोग इसे “बैजनाथ धाम” भी कहते हैं। यहां पहुंचते ही भक्तों को एक अलौकिक शांति और दिव्यता का अनुभव होता है। ऊँचे-ऊँचे वृक्षों, नदी के किनारे की ठंडी हवाओं और मंदिर की घंटियों की ध्वनि से पूरा वातावरण भक्तिमय हो उठता है। घुघरा वॉटरफॉल – प्रकृति की गोद में बसा एक स्वर्ग बाबा बैजनाथ महादेव मंदिर, आगर मालवा का इतिहास (History of Baba Baijnath Mahadev Temple, Agar Malwa ) बाबा बैजनाथ मंदिर का निर्माण लगभग 16वीं शताब्दी में प्रारंभ हुआ था और कहा जाता है कि 1528 से 1536 के बीच इसे आकार दिया गया। यह स्थान हमेशा से ही शिवभक्तों के लिए महत्वपूर्ण रहा है। मंदिर से जुड़ी एक अत्यंत रोचक घटना भी प्रचलित है। अंग्रेज़ी शासनकाल के दौरान अफगानिस्तान युद्ध में लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल मार्टिन नामक अंग्रेज अफसर को भेजा गया। उनकी पत्नी ने बाबा बैजनाथ से मनोकामना की कि यदि उनके पति सुरक्षित लौट आएँगे तो वे मंदिर का जीर्णोद्धार करवाएँगी। मान्यता है कि युद्ध में स्वयं भगवान शिव योगी का रूप धारण कर कर्नल मार्टिन की रक्षा के लिए उपस्थित हुए और उन्हें विजयी बनाया। जब कर्नल मार्टिन सकुशल लौटे तो उनकी पत्नी ने वचन निभाते हुए सन् 1883 में मंदिर का पुनर्निर्माण कराया। मंदिर में आज भी इस घटना का शिलालेख मौजूद है। यह कहानी इस मंदिर की महत्ता को और भी विशेष बना देती है। नोहटा जैन मंदिर – आस्था, इतिहास और चमत्कार का संगम बाबा बैजनाथ महादेव मंदिर की वास्तुकला (Architecture of Baba Baijnath Mahadev Temple) मंदिर लगभग 50 फुट ऊँचा है और पारंपरिक हिंदू मंदिर है जिसका पुनर्निर्माण अंग्रेज़ी शासनकाल में एक ब्रिटिश महिला द्वारा कराया गया। यहाँ श्रावण माह में लाखों की संख्या में श्रद्धालु पहुँचते हैं और अंतिम सोमवार को शाही सवारी निकाली जाती है, जो पूरे Nandchand Shiva Temple, Rithi – Katni: A Unique Blend of Devotion and Ancient Heritage

Located a few kilometers away from Rithi in Katni district, Madhya Pradesh, the Nandchand Shiva Temple beautifully combines devotion and history. This temple is not just a sacred space for worship, but also a living testimony to India’s ancient art and architecture. As soon as one arrives here, the tranquil atmosphere, lush greenery, and scattered remnants of ancient temples transport the mind to a bygone era. Nohleshwar Mahadev Temple, Nohta – A Living Example of History, Culture, and Architecture History The history of the Nandchand region goes back to around the 5th to 8th century CE. During this period, several temples were built here dedicated to Shaivism, Vaishnavism, and Shakti worship. Ghughwa Fossil National Park The Gupta rulers and their successors enriched this region with religious monuments. The Kalachuri kings also continued the construction of temples. Over centuries, invasions and the passage of time caused destruction, leaving behind scattered ruins of many temples. In the 19th century, British surveyor Alexander Cunningham noted in his survey that at least eight ancient temples existed in this area. The present Nandchand Shiva Temple is a reconstructed structure, built by assembling fragments of these ruins. Ujjain, known since ancient times as one of the greatest centers of religion, spirituality, and astrology, is home to the Shri Chaubis Khamba Mata Temple. It is believed that this temple once served as the main gateway to the sacred Mahakal Van (forest), and is therefore also referred to as the gateway of Goddess Mahamaya and Mahalaya. History The history of Shri Chaubis Khamba Mata Temple is believed to date back over a thousand years. Scholars suggest that its construction took place between the 9th and 10th centuries, during the rule of King Vikramaditya and his descendants. According to legend, when Vikramaditya took control of Ujjain, he had to pass through this very gateway to enter the Mahakal forest. At the gate stood the deities Mahalaya and Mahamaya, who were said to test every ruler. Only those kings who upheld truth, justice, and righteousness could earn the blessings of the goddesses and enter the sacred forest. Vikramaditya is believed to have succeeded in this divine test, receiving their blessings. Ram Janardan Temple, Ujjain Later, historians believe that the Paramara dynasty renovated and expanded the temple. Over time, the temple underwent several restorations, but its ancient grandeur and sacred essence still remain intact. Architecture The most striking feature of this temple is the series of 24 carved pillars, which is why it is named Chaubis Khamba (24 Pillars) Temple.
