The temple is located about 2 kilometers east of Agar, inside a natural cave also known as “Gufa Barda.” It is believed to be extremely ancient and associated with the Treta Yuga. According to local legends, Lord Shri Ram visited this place during his exile and worshipped the Goddess here. The idol of the Goddess is considered Swayambhu (self-manifested), meaning it appeared naturally or divinely without human intervention.
