History of Dakshin Delhi Kalibari Temple
Dakshin Delhi Kalibari Temple
The idea of establishing Kalibari came in 1967 at an informal meeting of some members of the Falguni Sangha Club of Sector 7, Ramakrishna Puram. The club organized Durga Puja in an open ground in the same year. The puja went well, but there was little extra money to start the construction of Kalibari. The members were intrepid and the search for a site was on. One winter morning, a pioneer swami came upon land at the foot of Malai hill and realized that the undulating land, slightly above ground level, but not too high, could be an ideal place for Kali to reside. The Welfare Association of Sector 7, Ramakrishna Puram wholeheartedly supported the idea.

A temporary temple was constructed amid heavy rains on Saturday, 13 July 1968, and the idol donated by Mrs. Purnima Gupta was installed on the same day and the organizers started worshiping regularly. This small image is now preserved in the permanent temple as Adi Devi. An Ad-hoc Committee for Kalibari Association was constituted in July 1968.
The wall worship of the temple was done on 20 July 1983. The foundation stone was laid by Swami Ranganathananda, Vice President of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, on 7 November 1983 in the presence of Shri Pranab Mukherjee and several other distinguished guests. This marked the beginning of the most active phase in the history of Kalibari. On the “Snan Yatra” date of Lord Jagannath, i.e. Thursday, 11 June 1987, the south Delhi Kalibari temple was consecrated with the installation of the twin idol of Goddess Makali, Lord Shiva, and Radha Krishna.

Kankali Devi Temple Tigawa (Tigma) is an ancient temple located in Tigawa Village at Bahoriband in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. Bahoriband is a tehsil of Katni district and it is 50 km away from Katni. The Kankali Devi temple is one of the ancient temples of the 5th century, which dates back to approximately 400-425 AD. Where Kankali Devi Temple is today, earlier there were 26 Hindu temples that were destroyed by foreign Muslim invaders. Now, out of 26 temples, only 2 temples are in good condition, one is a Kankali devi temple and the other is of Khadag wali devi (Lord Durga), the rest of the 24 temples have broken parts still present today. This place is also known by the names Tigwa, Tigawa Tigma and Tigwan. By looking at the Kankali devi temple and Goddess Durga (Kadag wali devi) existing here, you can see the unique art style of our times. Apart from this, there are 24 temples that have been destroyed, you will be shocked to see them. History of Tigawa (Tigma) and Kankali Devi Temple
Kankali Devi temple , bahoriband Katni
Tigwa is a small village near the place named Bahoriband in the Katni district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. Local people call this village by the name of Tigma or Tigwan. Today’s small village was under the rulers of the Gupta dynasty in ancient times and their rule used to run here. In this village, 26 Hindu temples were built by the Gupta rulers in the 5th century (400–425 AD). In all the temples, the stone was carved and their design and construction were so amazing that even in today’s era, there is no such thing possible as a so beautiful temple. In the temple idols and statues of Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, Goddess Durga, Goddess Kali, Goddess Ganga, Seshnagh, Lord Ganesh, and other deities were made. You can get an idea of the advanced and developed handicrafts of that time by looking at the Gods, Goddesses, and all other figures engraved on the stones and walls of the temples.

But unfortunately, out of these 26 temples, now only 2 temples are present in proper condition, the rest of the 24 temples have only ruins and broken parts left. This happened because, after the end of the Gupta dynasty, other state dynasties and foreign invaders attacked and damaged these temples. Especially the Mughals and other Muslim invaders are considered to be the reason for the destruction of these temples.

According to ancient belief, where the temple of Mata Kalkji is today, there used to be temples of other deities at some distance. Some demons and evil powers used to trouble the deities here, these gods went to the father of the world, Brahma, to protect themselves from the demons and evil powers. When Brahma showed the inability to protect them, they all went to Goddess Parvati, then Goddess Parvati produced Goddess Bhairavi from her mouth to protect them. The story of the birth of Goddess Yogmaya
Yogmaya Temple Delhi
According to the Hindu scriptures, there was a tyrannical king named Kansh in the Dwapar era, due to which everyone was troubled, he used to oppress everyone. Kansa was the king of Mathura. Kansa learns through Akasvani that his sister Devaki’s 8th child will kill him, so he imprisons his sister Devaki and her husband Vasudev in Mathura prison. This is where Shri Krishna is born. To keep Krishna safe from Kansh, Vasudev takes Lord Krishna from Prison to Mathura village at night when Devaki is asleep.

Even in Mathura, a woman named Yashoda (Lord Krishna’s stepmother) gives birth to a girl child at the same time, Vasudev takes that girl from here to Mathura prison and leaves the child Krishna with mother Yashoda in place of the girl child. Yasoda does not know all this because she is asleep at that time.
The next day, when Kansa learns that his sister Devaki has given birth to a girl child, he tries to kill that girl too, but the girl child flies into the sky. It is said that after escaping from the hands of Kansha, Mata Yogmaya gets divided into two parts, her head reaches Mehrauli where Yogmaya temple is today and the torso part goes to Vindhyachal, where she is known as Vindhyavasani. Where the mother’s head had fallen, there is the Yogmaya temple today. This temple is located in the Mehrauli area of Delhi.

Sridhar had got the material, but it was not enough to get the Bhandara done, so Sridhar started getting very worried.
