Omkareshwar Jyotirling is located in the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. This temple is situated on an island called Mandhata or Shivpuri in the middle of the holy river Narmada. Omkareshwar jyotirlinga has special significance in Hinduism. Unless the pilgrims bring water from all the pilgrimages and offer them to Omkareshwar, then all their pilgrimages are considered incomplete.
Omkareshwar Jyotirling is divided into two forms, one is Omkareshwar and the other is Mamleshwar. Mamleshwar is at the southern end of the Narmada, a little far from Omkareshwar.
